At least eight people died violent deaths in Aksai gorge in the Almaty region, Novosti-Kazakhstan quoted Kazakh Internal Affairs Minister Kalmuhambet Kasimov as saying.

"The eighth dead man was found at the scene," Kasimov told journalists on Tuesday on the sidelines of the government meeting.

Earlier two corpses with stab wounds were found in a local hunter's house. Two more corpses were found near the house. And two burnt corpses were found in a house of another hunter.

According to preliminary version, famous hunter and fighter against poachers Panayot Zaharopulo is one of dead people. Police also found his son's wrecked car with blood traces, who worked with Zaharopulo.

Investigatory working group is also involved at the scene.
