The investigation results of grave crimes committed in Ili-Alatau National Park in Kazakh Almaty region in August, will be announced in the coming days, Kazakh Interior Minister Kalmukhanbet Kasymov said, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.
"The investigation is over, the case is under special prosecutor office's investigation. I think it will announce the results in a few days," Kasymov told reporters on the sidelines of Majilis (Parliament's lower chamber) meeting on Monday.
Twelve people were found killed in the Aksai Gorge of Ili-Alatau park in August. They all died from multiple stab wounds. Well-known forest ranger Panayot Zaharopulo, his family members and employees of the park are among the dead.
According to the Interior Ministry, the crime was committed by members of religious extremism group, whose identities have been established.
According to the investigators, the criminal group regularly changed a place of residence. At last some group members were killed by spontaneous explosion in a house in Tausamal village of Kazakh Almaty region and some extremists were eliminated within a special operation in Baganashil village. The remaining members of the group were officially wanted by the law enforcement bodies.
