Kazakh and Luxembourgian transport ministries signed an agreement on air communication, Kazakh Transport and Communication Ministry reported on Thursday.

"Transport ministries of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg held talks in Luxembourg. Following the talks, Kazakh Transport and Communications Vice-Minister Azat Bekturov and Luxembourgian Sustainable Development and Infrastructure Minister Claude Wiseler signed an intergovernmental agreement on air communication," the Ministry said.

This agreement lays foundation for long-term cooperation between the two countries in regular air communication. Moreover it makes flights between Luxembourg and Kazakhstan possible for all EU airlines.

Within the meeting the parties also signed Memorandum of Understanding, which allows Europe's largest freight company Cargolux to continue regular cargo flights between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg.

Moreover, Luxembourg expressed readiness to hold air security and safety trainings for Kazakh specialists.
