Kazakhstan intends to submit a bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup, TASS news agency reported.
The remarks were made by Adilbek Zhaksybekov who announced his resignation from the post of the president of Kazakhstan's Football Federation on Dec.13.
Zhaksybekov recommended to appoint the former head of Kazakhstan's Agency for Sports and Physical Culture Erlan Kozhagapanov to this post.
Kazakh team will be led by the Russian coach Yuri Krasnozhan.
