China set to import more Kazakh agro products

Kazakhstan and China have agreed on expanding the volume of agricultural products imported from Kazakhstan, in particular vegetable and flaxseed oil.

The agreement was reached following a meeting of Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Agriculture Minister Askar Myrzahmetov with representatives of Chinese companies Grand China Business Management LTD., CO. and China SDIC International Trade Co., Ltd. Oct.13, the ministry reported.

The sides also mulled issues on expanding the investment portfolio between the two countries. In particular, the Agriculture Ministry and Chinese partners will work out the issue of realizing a project in Kazakhstan for the production of oils meeting Chinese requirements and preferences.

To expand the volume of mutual trade and investments, the Joint Stock Company "National Managing Holding" KazAgro "and the Joint-Stock Company" Food Corporation " signed Memorandums of cooperation with Chinese partners.
