Kazakhstan eyes to commission some plants in Atyrau region

Some 11 investment projects are being implemented in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau region, Acting Head of the Administration of Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development Kanysh Mambetov said.

Mambetov made the remark at a meeting, chaired by head of the region Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, dedicated to the attraction of investments to the region, Trend reports with reference to Kazinform news agency.

"It is planned to implement 11 investment projects worth 920.4 billion tenge ($2.2 billion) in 2021," Mambetov added. "It is planned to commission such facilities as a plant for the production of granular sulfur, a plant for the production of organic fertilizers from food waste, a plant for the production of concrete and reinforced concrete products, a plant for the production of dry building mixtures, a workshop for the production of geotextiles, a plant for the production of equipment for the oil and gas industry, as well as to construct a gas chemical complex."

Following the meeting, the head of the region gave specific instructions to intensify the work to attract investments, as well as to complete the projects, which are being implemented, within the planned time frame.
