BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. The increase of prices on export markets is beneficial for domestic agricultural producers, Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Yerbol Karashukeyev told reporters after the government meeting, Trend reports citing Kazakh media.
"Prices in Kazakhstan are stable. The country announced the purchase price on forward contracts staring from 121,000 tenge ($256) to 125,000 tenge ($264) since September 15. Currently, the grain harvest under forward contracts is going well, thus, the prices are stable," he stated.
According to him, if the prices on export markets rise, the domestic agricultural producers will only benefit from this.
“This year, given the good result, Kazakhstan fully provides the domestic market with grain and flour," Karashukeyev said
Earlier, he informed that the price of bread in Kazakhstan rose by 11.9 percent.
