BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 27. Russian Aeroflot announced that flights to Kazakhstan will be resumed from February 1, Trend reports, citing the press service of the company.

The flights to Astana, Almaty, and Atyrau will be carried out by Airbus A320 aircraft.

Aeroflot intends to complete two daily flights to Astana, and three flights to Almaty every day.

Two flights are expected to be completed every week to Atyrau, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Beginning in March, another flight on Monday will be added to the schedule.

Aeroflot is the largest Russian airline. The company is the major player in the industry with a market share of 39.1 percent in 2021. The “Aeroflot” Group also includes Rossiya and Pobeda airlines.

Rossiya Airlines will operate flights from Moscow to Kazakh cities until February 2023. The maiden flight of the company to Kazakhstan took place on April 23, 2022. Superjet 100 aircraft are used for carrying out flights to Kazakhstan.
