BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 23. The average daily oil output in the Kazakh oil and gas oilfields co-operated by Eni S.p.A., a major Italian energy company, amounted to 126,000 barrels per day, Trend reports, via the latest financial and operations report issued by the company.

This is a drop of 20,000 barrels compared to 2021, which Eni S.p.A. attributed to unplanned maintenance works at Kazakh oil fields.

The average daily output in 4Q2022 also reduced to 150,000 barrels, from 165,000 barrels per day recorded in 2021.

A similar trend can be observed in the daily production of liquids, which decreased to 88,000 barrels per day in 2022, from 102,000 barrels per day in 2021. The performance in 4Q2022, however, exceeded the average annual result, with 111,000 barrels produced daily. A small decrease of 7,000 barrels compared to 2021 was registered.

Meanwhile, the average daily gas production equaled 5.6 million cubic meters in 2022. In contrast, around 6.5 million cubic meters of gas were extracted a year prior.

The average gas output amounted to 5.7 million cubic meters per day in 4Q2022, which is a drop from 7 million cubic meters produced in 4Q2021.

Eni S.p.A is one of the major energy companies operating in the Kazakh oil and gas industry. The Italian energy corporation has been operating in Kazakhstan since 1992 and is currently involved in major projects, which include the construction of a hybrid power plant in Kazakhstan’s Mangystau with a total output of 120 MW.
