BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. “KTZ Express”, subsidiary of “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”(KTZ), the national railroad operator of Kazakhstan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China Xinjiang Electronic Port Co., Trend reports citing KTZ.

The document was signed in the framework of the 2nd Friendly Dialogue of Cross-Border Cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, which was held in Almaty.

The purpose of the Memorandum is the pilot operation of the integrated "China Xinjiang Electronic Port Co., Ltd" and "Xinjiang Digital Port" service platforms. This will improve data transfer for cross-border railway customs clearance and improvement in the quality of transportation service between Kazakhstan and China.

Additionally, the memorandum will contribute to acceleration of customs clearance of documents, as well as enable both countries to apply innovative approaches in the field of transport logistics.

Earlier, it was reported that 16 documents, including five commercial agreements, were signed in the framework of the 2nd Friendly Dialogue of Cross-Border Cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
