BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. Kazakhstan's PTC Holding signed an investment agreement on the implementation of a multimodal terminal construction project in the port of Poti for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR - Middle Corridor), Trend reports.

According to the company, Poti Transterminal JSC was established jointly with private Georgian partners in order to implement the project in equal partnership.

The terminal is scheduled to be operational by October of this year. The projected capacity of the terminal is 80,000 containers per year, covering an area of 8 hectares. The estimated investment volume for the project currently stands at around $10 million within the holding, which will be financed without government involvement.

The construction of the terminal in Georgia as a pivotal point on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route aligns with the development strategy of the private Kazakh operator.

Previously, the company group constructed the largest terminal at the Dostyk station with a capacity of 320,000 containers per year. They also established a company in Shanghai and are in the process of registering a company in Istanbul.
