BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 18. German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will take part in the launch ceremony in Kazakhstan of trial drilling at the plant for the production of green hydrogen of the Swedish-German Svevind company, Trend reports via the press service of the president of Kazakhstan.
It is expected that the presidents of Kazakhstan and Germany will take part in the Kazakh-German business forum.
Steinmeier plans to visit the Mangystau region and get acquainted with the economic potential of the region. He also plans to participate in the opening of the Kazakh-German Institute of Engineering.
Meanwhile, the investment agreement on the launch of trial production of green hydrogen in Kazakhstan together with a German company was signed in October 2022.
As the German Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection told Trend earlier, the country sees significant potential in the production of green energy in Kazakhstan.
"Experts confirm favorable conditions for the production of green hydrogen in Kazakhstan, as well as wind energy," the ministry said.
