Kazakhstan notes positive dynamics in economic growth

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 31. The growth of Kazakhstan's economy from January through July this year amounted to 4.8 percent, Trend reports.

According to the official source, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Alikhan Smailov, said this in his speech to the government.

As per his statement, GDP per capita in the specified period increased to $13,300.

"Despite the consequences of the pandemic and difficult geopolitical conditions, thanks to the measures taken, the country's economy is showing steady growth. Positive dynamics are observed in all major industries," Smailov said.

He noted that this year's foreign trade turnover has increased to $140 billion and the country's international reserves amount to almost $95 billion.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister added that inflation is gradually decreasing, and by the end of the year it will be twice as low as in the previous year.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan is successfully making the transition to a more diverse and sustainable economy, investing in the development of various industries, infrastructure, and human capital, as well as attracting foreign investment to maintain growth and competitiveness on the world stage.
