ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 25. Construction of a new combined heat and power plant has begun in the Kyzylorda region of Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
In August 2022 Aksa Energy and the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan signed an agreement on the construction of a new combined heat and power plant in Kyzylorda city.
The capacity of the new plant will be 240 megawatts, and the cost will be 215 billion tenge (about $450.9 million).
The Aksa Energy company, which has extensive experience in this field, made an advance payment to the American and European companies General Electric, Siemens and other large companies for the production of modern equipment of the latest models.
To date, Aksa Energy has invested more than 76 billion tenge (about $159.4 million) and selected the Kazakh company INTERTASCO as the general contractor for the project.
The contractor for the project to provide the new station with gas was determined on November 16 and construction work is planned to begin by the end of the year.
