ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 7. Kazakhstan plans to build the second string of the Almaty-Bayserke-Talgar main gas pipeline, said Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Almassadam Satkaliyev, Trend reports.

As he noted, construction will begin after the completion of the acquisition of land plots for gas pipelines.

"To acquisition land plots, about 11.6 billion tenge (about $25 million) is required, which is planned to be allocated from the government reserve," he said.

In addition, according to Satkaliyev, in order to provide gas to CHPP-2 and CHPP-3, as well as to ensure the energy security of the city of Almaty, QazaqGaz JSC (Kazakhstan's national company) is implementing several projects.

“Among them is the construction of a TIP-04 jumper between the Kazakhstan-China and Almaty-Bayserke-Talgar main gas pipelines and the construction of an automatic gas distribution station for CHPP-2 and CHPP-3," he said.

The minister noted that these projects are planned to be completed by the end of this year.

Gas production volume in Kazakhstan for 2022 amounted to 53.3 billion cubic meters, or 103.1 percent of the 2022 plan. Commercial gas production amounted to 27.8 billion cubic meters, or 94 percent of the plan.

Domestic consumption of commercial gas in Kazakhstan amounted to 19.3 billion cubic meters, or 107.2 percent of the 2022 plan, exports - 4.6 billion cubic meters, or 85.1 percent of the plan.

The volume of liquefied petroleum gas production (supplied to the domestic market) amounted to 2.8 million tons, or 98 percent of the plan.
