ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 13. The Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Bagdat Musin, and the Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Welfare Fund have signed an agreement with Emirati Presight AI Ltd. on the basic conditions for the project to create a supercomputer in Kazakhstan and the construction of a corresponding Data Processing Center (DPC), Trend reports.

As the Ministry noted, this is a continuation of the agreements reached with the global leader in the field of artificial intelligence, Presight AI Ltd., in order to develop the digital infrastructure of Kazakhstan.

Thus, the project is planned to be implemented in two stages.

The first stage involves the placement of computing power in the existing data center of JSC National Information Technologies, and the second involves the construction of a new data center with the placement of a large amount of computing power.

Earlier, Kazakhstan's Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wellfare Fund, the UAE Ministry of Investment, and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of understanding.

The document is aimed at creating a basis for investment in data center projects that will be implemented in Kazakhstan as well as building strong and effective cooperation between the two countries.

The data center market is developing in Kazakhstan, driven by the growing need for computing resources, progressive government policies, and advances in artificial intelligence.

The Memorandum also envisages introducing incentives to support relevant initiatives and promoting knowledge sharing.
