Kazakhstan decreases LPG exports to Türkiye in January 2024

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 28. The volume of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) exports from Kazakhstan to Türkiye in January 2024 amounted to 14,484 tons, Trend reports.

According to Türkiye's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), this figure decreased by 8.8 percent compared to the same month in 2023 (15,882 tons).

Kazakhstan's share was 5.28 percent of Türkiye's total LPG imports in January 2024 (336,655 tons).

At the same time, LPG imports from Kazakhstan to Türkiye from January through December 2023 amounted to 201,151 tons, which is 19.2 percent more than for the same period in 2022 (168,769 tons).

Kazakhstan's share of total imports (3.9 million tons) is 5.17 percent.

Meanwhile, the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Türkiye amounted to $6 billion in 2023. The volume of trade turnover decreased by 5.3 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($6.3 billion).

At the same time, in the structure of trade turnover, exports to Türkiye for the above period amounted to $3.9 billion, which is 16.4 percent less than from January through December 2022 ($4.7 billion).

In addition, imports from Türkiye from January through December 2023 increased by 27 percent and amounted to $2 billion. In 2022, imports amounted to $1.6 billion.
