ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 16. Kazakhstan registered approximately 136,600 automobiles in February 2024, which is 13.5 percent less than the same month in 2023, Trend reports.
The nation's Bureau of National Statistics shows that the number
of buses increased by 7 percent, trucks declined by 13.9 percent,
and passenger vehicles decreased by 10.3 percent.
As of March 1, 2024, Kazakhstan had 5.379 million registered
vehicles, with 88.1 percent being passenger cars, 9.9 percent being
trucks, and 2 percent being buses.
Concurrently, the number of electric passenger cars climbed by 6.7
times over the same period last year, from 1,291 to 8,684
units.
Almaty has the most electric vehicles (5,127 units), followed by
Astana (1,098 units), and the Almaty region (386 units).
