The Kazakhstan companies have the equal rights and opportunities to participate in the privatization process of Georgia, the special correspondent of Trend in Astana reports with reference to the Georgain prime minister Zurab Nogaideli.

According to Nogaideli, several private Kazakhstan companies already possess important activities in Georgia including TbilGas, tourist complex in Adjar and Borjom, unified telecommunication company.

At the moment, we privatize energy objects. We have announced a tender in February for the assets of three distributors and six hydro electric power station. The new tariff policy and the reforms made this sector more attractive.

He noted the great progress in the bank sphere where the credits to the economy raised by 83% and assets 50%.

The production of the wine industry increased by 80% last year, but in March of the current year, the import of the Georgian wine into Russia was forbidden, and we work on diversification of the wine market. We could set up a sale of our products in Great Britain and the USA. The ancient tradition of the Georgian wine-making has 8-thousand years and I am sure that the wine sector will overcome the barriers and get out of the created situation, told Nogaideli.

Besides, Nogaideli stressed the importance of developing the transport system of Georgia. Geographical advantage of Georgia allows to use it as a transit country. We jointly work with the Kazakhstan government for the development of the railway system of Georgia which connects Europe to China via south Caucasian corridor, said Nogaideli.

One more attractive sphere is the tourism. We asked for the procedure of receiving visas for the visit of the foreign citizens of Western European countries, stressed Nogaideli.
