Commission of EurAsEC permanent representatives to meet in Almaty

(gazeta.kz) - A regular forty-third meeting of the Commission of EurAsEC permanent representatives is due tot take place January 30 in Almaty, EurAsEC told.

"A wide range of issues related with the integrating co-operation between the EurAsEC member states will be reviewed," - the press service noted.

In particular, the agenda "includes such issues as the formation of a common energy market of the EurAsEC member states, a concept of efficient use of hydropower resources of the Central Asian region, and a concept of formation of the unified transport space".

Besides, preparation of the legal base necessary for the establishment of a Customs Union of the EurAsEC member states will be discussed, reports Trend.

Also implementation of decisions adopted earlier by the EurAsEC Integration Committee and the Commission of EurAsEC permanent representatives will be regarded. "The Council for Social Policy will make a report for 2005 - 2006," - the press service added. Changes in the councils and commissions of the EurAsEC Integration Committee will be addressed at the meeting as well.

Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are members of the EurAsEC. Armenia, Moldova, and Ukraine have observer statuses in the EurAsEC.
