"Kyrgyzstan has applied for the global political game," Kurmanbek Bakiev, the president of Kyrgyzstan said at the 4th gathering of the Kyrgyz Nation's Assembly in Bishkek Friday, April 17, news agency "24.kg" reported.
"At least two of our last decisions make the global political stakeholders take a new look at our country. They are the hydropower project and withdrawal of the American airbase. The both decisions lead Kyrgyzstan out to the position of active participant of the world processes," the president said.
Kurmanbek Bakiev supposes that the mentioned issues can strengthen the pressure of the other states on the country.
