At least 415 suicide cases were registered in Kyrgyzstan for the eight months of 2009, press service of the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry informed the news agency 24.kg.
About 276 men, 78 women and 61 underage have reportedly committed a suicide in the republic. "Suicides are mostly registered in Chui, Issyk-Kul and Osh regions. The main causes of suicide are social factor, resentment against relatives and family problems," the press service reported.
In 2009, 22 suicides were committed with the use of fire and cold arms. "Investigation of the cases is ongoing," the press service added.
