The District Court of Kara-Suu region sentenced the first suspect in the murder during tragic events of June in the south of the country. The court issued 23 years imprisonment against Zhagankhir Bazarov, 1968 born, as he was found guilty in the act of killing, reported 24 kg news agency.

According to the chief supervisor, during mass inter-ethnic clashes in Osh on 12 June, 2010, unknown persons on the grounds of ethnic hatred and mercilessly beat a villager of Birdik Kubanychbek Umarov, born in 1966, and then took away his mobile phone. As a result of injuries received Kubanychbek Umarov died."

The prosecution of Kara-Suu district lodged a complaint under the Article 97 "Murder" of the Criminal Code.

"Investigators found out that the crime was committed by Zhagankhir Bazarov. On July 24, he was arrested and during interrogation he confessed his involvement to this crime along with four other locals," General Prosecutor told.

The criminal case against murder accomplices of Kubanychbek Umarov has been separated.
