Kyrgyzstan's parties which have won representation in parliament will start negotiations on the formation of a coalition government next week, acting President Roza Otunbayeva has said, Xinhua reported.
Otunbayeva said Tuesday in an online video that the Kyrgyz Central Election Commission would soon grant credentials to the newly elected deputies to the Kyrgyz parliament.
Otunbayeva said she would hold consultations with party leaders at the weekend.
Five parties passed the 5-percent threshold to win parliamentary seats in the Oct. 10 elections, with the opposition Ata-Zhurt Party becoming the biggest party with 8.47 percent.
Kyrgyzstan, a Central Asian country, has been plagued by turbulence and ethnic conflicts since the ouster of former President Kurmanbek Bakiyev in April.
In June, clashes erupted between ethnic Kyrgyzs and Uzbeks in the south. Some 400,000 people were forced to leave their homes to avoid violence.
Otunbayeva, who was sworn in as acting president on July 3, has said she would serve until a new government is formed after the parliamentary elections.
