Kyrgyzstan to decide on Financial Police

Next week Kyrgyzstan will take a decision on Financial Police, First Vice-Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov said today at a meeting of independent experts to implement Action Programme of the Government for 2011, 24.kg reported.

According to him, the decision will be taken in the form of that institution. "Either we eliminate it or leave for the State Tax Service. Thereby it will run as an independent structure, but with what issues remains unclear," said Babanov.

According to him, he is waiting for experts to provide justifications for the elimination of Financial Police, i.e., a document that would show the level of corruption in the department, amount of tax deductions, and ineffectiveness of its work. We need a finished product, rather than analytical material. Then we will submit the document for discussion and take action," Babanov concluded.
