Demographic changes detonated events in Kyrgyzstan and Arab countries as Ata Meken faction leader Omurbek Tekebayev stated at the conference "April 7 - one year later", 24.kg reported.
He says that new generation is coming on the world political arena and their points of view are different from the vision of old elites. Omurbek Tekebayev thinks that leaders of post-Soviet countries understand this too. He noted: although leaders of other republic of former USSR don't agree with the parliamentary development they also say about necessity of political modernization.
"Today some politicians blame the interim government in failure to prevent bloody events," noted Omurbek Tekebayev. "I don't waive as a former member of the interim government. We failed to prevent the conflict and spent several days to suppress the violence. Now it is time for all of us to make appropriate conclusions."
However, Omurbek Tekebayev believes that Kyrgyzstan managed to avoid full-scale civil war. In his opinion threat of the civil war was real as events in Arab countries demonstrate.
Omurbek Tekebayev noted that unfortunately regime change in Kyrgyzstan happened without developed party institutions. He thinks that former authorities prevented political organizations to develop as former authorities weren't interested in developing of possible rivals.
