A rally, organized by opposition took place in front of the Kyrgyz parliament on Wednesday, Kyrtag reported.

Protesters' main demand is immediate nationalization of the gold mine "Kumtor". During the rally, MP from the "Ata-Jurt" party Kamchybek Tashiev urged the people to seize power in the country and storm the parliament building.

According to the unspecified data, the rally was attended by over 1,000 people, 30 percent of them were trying to break into the parliament building. At present,the parliament building is surrounded by police.

The Main Department of Internal Affairs in Bishkek reported that the number of detained protesters is unknown yet.

Kyrtag correspondents reported that the situation in the area is under control of law enforcement agencies. The rally is almost ended. After security forces used stun grenades and tear gas, people started to leave the area.

MPs are trying to resume parliamentary session. According to reports, about 20 MPs from 120 remained in the building.
