BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan held a meeting as part of Kyrgyzstan’s Embassy efforts to expand trade between the two countries, Trend reports citing the press service of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Azerbaijan.
Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Azerbaijan Kairat Osmonaliev met with the Chairman of the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan, Goshgar Tahmazli, as the sides spoke on the export opportunities, considering pricing policy of domestic producers, environmental friendliness and the import basket of Azerbaijan. In particular, dairy products, meat and meat products, fish, beans, honey etc.
Tahmazli noted that the Food Safety Agency is one of the most important bodies when it comes to entering the Azerbaijani food market, because all imported and exported food products are carefully controlled on the basis of modern research and laboratory centers of his department.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed mutual interest and willingness to establish close contact with competent counterparts and expand cooperation in order to boost the countries' trade turnover.
