Kyrgyzstan reveals amount of money allocated for road construction and repair

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. A total of 17.5 billion soms ($213 million) were allocated for road construction and repair in Kyrgyzstan from January through September 2022, said the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Nurlanbek Kaiynbaev during today's press conference, Trend reports via Kyrgyz media.

According to him, the Ministry of Transport and Communications in the first 9 months of this year has done an excellent job in terms of road construction and repair.

During this period 7.5 billion soms ($91.3 million) were allocated from the state budget of Kyrgyzstan, and the remaining 10 billion soms ($121.7 million) came from donors.

Kaiynbaev noted that overall in the first 9 months of this year, a total of 342 km of asphalt concrete pavement was laid, and 90 km of asphalt roads were constructed through investments.
