BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 21. Kyrgyzstan exported dairy products to Kazakhstan worth $24.8 million from January through November 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to statistical data, Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period supplied to Kazakhstan 10,178 tons of milk and cream worth $10.5 million, 8,461 tons of yogurt and kefir ($7.5 million), 719 tons of butter in the amount of $3.5 million and 969 tons of cheese and cottage cheese ($3.3 million).
The dairy industry of Kyrgyzstan is one of the leading industries in processing sector of Kyrgyz economy. Annual milk production in Kyrgyzstan is about 1.6 million tons.
Approximately 144 milk processing enterprises and more than 300 private producers of dairy products operate in Kyrgyzstan.
