BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 23. Kyrgyzstan’s exports of mineral water to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries increased by almost twice in the period from January through December 2022, compared to 2021, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the statistics, in the reporting period, Kyrgyzstan exported to the EAEU countries 823,865 liters of mineral water for $93,200, from 417,742 liters for $28,900 in 2021.

As the Committee noted, in 2022, Kyrgyzstan supplied mineral water among the EAEU members only to Kazakhstan and Russia. The amount of the country’s mineral water exports to Kazakhstan reached 768,637 liters for $71,800, to Russia - 55,228 liters for $21,400, while in 2021 Russia did not receive mineral water from Kyrgyzstan.

At the same time, the volume of Kyrgyzstan’s imports of mineral water from the EAEU countries amounted to 9.3 million liters for $1.2 million from January through December 2022. The figure decreased by almost twice from the same period in 2021 (18 million liters for $1 million).

During the period, Kyrgyzstan imported 8 million liters of mineral water for $903,000 from Kazakhstan, which is a decrease from 17 million liters for $814,000 in 2021. Meanwhile, from Russia Kyrgyzstan imported 817,383 liters for $332,500. This is a decrease from the indicators of 2021 (882,818 liters for $281,000).
