BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 28. Tajikistan and Russia intend to sign 20 agreements on cooperation, following the Russian-Tajik conference in Tajikistan’s Dushanbe on March 2023, Trend reports with reference to Tajik media.
Among these documents are:
- a Memorandum of Understanding on the standardization and metrology between the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology of Russia and the Agency for Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Trade Inspection under the Government of Tajikistan;
- a Roadmap for implementation of the agreement between Russian Omsk region and Tajik Khatlon region on the implementation of international and foreign economic relations in the trade, economic, scientific, technical, social, cultural and humanitarian fields for 2023–2025;
- an agreement of establishing the friendly relations between Novocheboksarsk city of Russian Chuvash Republic and Tajikistan’s Khujand city;
- a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Labor of Tajikistan and Russian organization of small and medium-sized businesses - "Support of Russia" in the field of employment and labor migration.
The Ninth Conference on Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan will take place, in the frame of the visit of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to Tajikistan’s capital from March 2 through March 3.
The objective of the conference is to expand practical cooperation between the two countries in the fields of industry, energy, ecology, transport and logistics, as well as in scientific and educational, and humanitarian fields.
In the second day of the conference, several business-to-business meetings and the meeting of the Russian-Tajik Business Council are expected to take place.
It is planned to host around 500 representatives of Russian business at the conference.
