BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 14. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus has increased by year-on-year from January through February 2023 – from $10.8 million to $15.6 million (0.9 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover), Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

Statistics said that exports from Kyrgyzstan to Belarus exceeded $5.6 million (2.2 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s exports). The figure increased almost twofold or by 98 percent over $2.8 million in the corresponding period of 2022.

During the reviewed period, imports to Kyrgyzstan from Belarus amounted to $10 million (0.7 percent of overall Kyrgyz imports), which is a 25-percent increase year-on-year ($8 million in the same months of 2022).

Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus reached $104.1 million in 2022, which is a 40.6-percent growth year-on-year ($74 million in 2021).

The exports from Kyrgyzstan to Belarus totaled $35.6 million, compared to $15.8 million in 2021. Last year, Kyrgyzstan mainly exported to Belarus spare parts and accessories of motor vehicles.

The imports to Kyrgyzstan from Belarus in value amounted to $68.3 million, which is 17 percent more than $58.1 million in 2021. A big share of imports from Belarus fell to tractors.
