BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 11. The number of tourists from Kyrgyzstan visiting Azerbaijan in April 2023 amounted to 423 people, which is 43 percent more than in the same month of 2022 (296 people), Trend reports with reference to the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.
In March 2023, 372 tourists from Kyrgyzstan visited Azerbaijan, some 238 tourists in February, and 141 in January.
Overall, as of May 1, 1,174 tourists were registered travelling from Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan, which is 107 percent more than in the corresponding months of 2022.
The number of visitors arriving from Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan amounted to 3,240 in 2022, which is an increase of more than 3.8 times, compared to 836 tourists in 2021. Although, the figure is still smaller than the 4,460 visitors in 2019.
Moreover, the tourist flow from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan amounted to 754 people in 2022, increasing from 357 people in 2021.
In comparison, some 302 Azerbaijani citizens visited Kyrgyzstan in 2019.
