BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15. The value of Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover amounted to $2.7 billion from January through March 2023, which is 25.4 percent more than in the same period of 2022, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the statistics, the exports from Kyrgyzstan in 1Q2023 increased by 25.4 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2022, and imports increased by 27.4 percent year-on-year.
Meanwhile, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) from January through March 2023 amounted to $825.8 million, decreasing by 8.2 percent year-on-year.
The exports from Kyrgyzstan to the EAEU countries rose by 13.3 percent year-on-year, while the imports decreased by 14.6 percent.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover amounted to $11.8 billion in 2022 which is an increase of 41.8 percent compared to 2021.
The exports from Kyrgyzstan totaled $2.1 billion, decreasing by 20.5 percent over the indicators of the preceding year, while the imports reached $9.6 billion, increasing by 72 percent compared to 2021.
