BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. Chinese Zijin Mining Group is going to build a metallurgical plant in Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports.
In this regard, the Chairman of Kyrgyzaltyn, Kyrgyzstan's largest gold mining enterprise, Kubat Abdraimov, and the Deputy Director of the International Department of China's Zijin Mining Group, Liao Jianshen, signed a memorandum of cooperation and interaction.
Along with the construction of a metallurgical plant, the memorandum envisages the provision of practical assistance in the implementation of mining-related tasks and research work.
Additionally, the memorandum also outlines the development of long-term, efficient, and mutually beneficial collaboration aimed at expanding the mineral resource base of the joint venture through the exploration of medium and large-scale prospective deposits.
Zijin Mining Group is the largest mining corporation, listed on the Hong Kong and Shanghai stock exchanges. The company ranks first among the world's largest gold mining enterprises and eighth among major global companies in the metal ore industry.
