BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 19. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and the European countries amounted to $433.1 million from January through April 2023, increasing 2.9 times compared to $145.4 million in the same period of 2022, Trend reports.
The Kyrgyzstan’s trade with Europe accounted to 11.1 percent of the country’s total trade turnover, the Kyrgyzstan's State Statistical Committee said.
Export deliveries from Kyrgyzstan to European countries reached $96.6 million, accounting for 15.7 percent of Kyrgyzstan's total exports. This figure rose 3.6 times compared to the $26.4 million in January through April 2022.
Imports from European countries to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $336.5 million during the specified period, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 2.8 times from $119 million recorded in the corresponding months of 2022.
Germany emerged as the primary trading partner for Kyrgyzstan among European countries, with a trade turnover of $112.4 million. Following closely behind, Switzerland took the second position with a trade turnover of $80.7 million.

Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover from January through April 2023 amounted to $3.9 billion, which is a 25.5-percent increase year-on-year. Exports increased by 18.9 percent, while imports grew by 26.8 percent.
