BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 12. The industrial production value in Kyrgyzstan reached 428 billion soms ($4.7 billion) from January through November 2023, which is a 1.8-percent increase compared to the same period in 2022, Trend reports.
Data from the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan highlights that the growth was observed in the manufacturing of rubber, plastic products, and construction materials (by 1.8 times), as well as pharmaceuticals (by 1.5 times).
Moreover, significant growth was recorded in textile production, garment and footwear manufacturing, leather goods (at 23.6 percent), wood and paper products, and printing activities (at 23 percent).
The production of refined petroleum products increased by 8.4 percent, while chemical products saw a rise of 7.4 percent, and food products (including beverages) and tobacco products increased by 5.3 percent. Additionally, there was growth observed in the extraction of minerals by 3.5 percent.
In 2022, the value of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan was roughly 436 billion soms (nearly $4.8 billion), which is an increase of 11.4 percent over 2021.
