BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 15. Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to $278.3 million in January 2024, which is a 4-percent decrease compared to January 2023, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, mutual trade with EAEU member states accounted for 23.8 percent of the country's overall trade turnover, with exports constituting 27.6 percent and imports 23.1 percent.
Among the EAEU member states, Russia dominated Kyrgyzstan's mutual trade with a share of 70 percent, followed by Kazakhstan at 27.6 percent.
In terms of Kyrgyzstan's exports to the EAEU, Russia accounted for 61.3 percent, with Kazakhstan at 35.1 percent and Belarus at 3.5 percent.
As for imports, Russia constituted 71.9 percent, followed by Kazakhstan at 26 percent and Belarus at 2 percent.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $1.168 billion in January 2024, which is a 36.8 percent increase compared to January 2023.
