Kyrgyzstan, Turkish Cooperative Organization agree to collaborate in agricultural sector

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, June 15. Kyrgyzstan and the Turkish Cooperative Organization (Türk Kooperatifçilik Kurumu) have agreed to collaborate in the agricultural sector, Trend reports.

According to the Kyrgyz ministry, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Department of Cooperation, Mechanization, and Innovative Technologies in Agriculture under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan and the Turkish organization.

The parties have agreed to cooperate in the agricultural cooperation field with the following objectives: exchange of experience and knowledge in the creation and development of cooperative movements; organization of joint events such as trainings, seminars, conferences, and workshops; and facilitation in the implementation of joint projects and initiatives.

To note, the gross output of agricultural products in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 52.815 billion soms ($600.027 million) from January through April 2024. The physical volume index stood at 102.1 percent during this period.
