The problem with petroleum, oil and lubricants (POL) smuggling from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan is associated with border penetrability and the lack of definite border line between the two countries, KyrTAG quoted Iskhak Osmonbayev, Kyrgyz Finance Police head's assistant as saying.
He said that the border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan is imperfect. There was no delimitation and demarcation of it.
As the result, it is very hard to find out and prevent the cases of POL smuggling, Osmonbayev said.
He said that special mobile groups of the employees of taxes and customs services were created to resolve the problem with smuggling in the south of Kyrgyzstan.
