Tajikistan, U.S. discuss future of Afghanistan

Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon met with the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Richard E. Hoagland on Feb. 24, news.tj reported.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation.
They also mulled the situation in Afghanistan, which is Tajikistan's bordering state, and the possible development of the situation there.
NATO's force will withdraw from Afghanistan in 2014.
They also discussed the issue of the U.S. involvement in the Tajhikistan's economy and the implementation of CASA-1000 energy project.
