BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. The total value of trade turnover between Tajikistan and Russia significantly increased in the first quarter of 2022, Trend reports referring to the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
Tajikistan’s trade turnover with Russia from January through March 2022 totaled $365.4 million, which is an increase of 62.8 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 ($224.4 million).
Russia’s exports to Tajikistan amounted to $341.7 million in the first quarter of 2022, which is an increase of 62.3 percent compared to $210.5 million in the same period of 2021.
The value of Tajikistan’s exported goods totaled $23.7 million also increased by 70.5 percent compared to $13.9 million in the reporting period of 2021.
Meanwhile, trade turnover between Russia and Tajikistan amounted to $1.3 billion in 2021. This figure not only exceeded all pre-pandemic values but became a historical maximum over the past 10 years.
