BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. Tajikistan’s imports of motor cars from Georgia during the period from January through May 2023 increased almost three times year-on-year, Trend reports.
As evidenced from the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia, Tajikistan imported 1,221 motor cars from Georgia from January through May 2023, which is 2.9 times more than 418 cars in the same period of 2022
The value of the imports amounted to $13 million, increasing 4.8 times compared to $2.695 million from January through May 2022.
Overall, trade turnover between Tajikistan and Georgia reached $16.167 million from January through May 2023, which is 3.7 times more than $4.280 million in the same period of last year.
In the reporting period, Tajikistan’s imports from Georgia totaled $16.131 million, increasing 3.8 times compared to the same months of 2022.
On the other hand, Tajikistan’s exports to Georgia amounted to $36,033, which is 1.9 times less than $71,950 from January through May 2022.
