DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, October 6. The National Bank of Tajikistan is considering the establishment of a Banking Academy in hopes to enhance the quality of financial services, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Naziri Gulbahor Nazir, said, Trend reports.
This was disclosed during a meeting with a representative from the German Savings Banks Foundation, Branko Wehnert.
The chairman highlighted that the Banking Academy would play a vital role in elevating the knowledge and qualifications of professionals essential for the development of the national economy and the banking system. The German Savings Bank Foundation is assisting in the establishment of the planned Banking Academy in Tajikistan.
In response, Wehnert expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation with the National Bank of Tajikistan regarding the creation of the Banking Academy. He emphasized that the details and timelines for establishing the educational institution, its ongoing funding, market needs, and other aspects of its operations would be determined through discussions with industry experts.
Wehnert also stressed the importance of ensuring the stability of the Banking Academy's activities, suggesting that its financing structure should be discussed with potential investor countries.
In turn, Tajikistan side affirmed that the National Bank is open to a constructive dialogue with the Savings Bank Foundation regarding the creation, structure, and organization of the Banking Academy's operations.
