DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, October 19. The net profit of Tajikistan's Amonatbank (the state savings bank) amounted to 93.8 million somoni ($8.5 million) from January through September 2023, Trend reports.
The figure rose by 29.6 percent compared to the same period in 2022. At the same time, the bank’s tax deductions amounted to 63.8 million somoni ($5.8 million), which is 41 percent higher than in 2022.
The bank’s assets amounted to 6.6 billion somoni ($600 million) from January through June 2023. The bank's capital reached 783 million somoni ($71 million) during that period, increasing by 29.1 percent year-on-year.
Amonatbank had a network of 75 branches and 548 banking service centers, staffed with over 3,000 employees across all regions of the country, in the first half of 2023.
During that period, the bank provided services to approximately 13,000 businesses and organizations, as well as over 789,000 pensioners, including retired law enforcement personnel. Additionally, it served more than 1.9 million depositors.
Amonatbank collaborated with 16 foreign banks using 48 correspondent accounts as of the end of June 2023.
