DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, November 29. The assets of state saving bank of Tajikistan Amonatbank totaled 6.770 billion somoni ($623.5 million) as of September 30, 2023, Trend reports.
The National Bank of Tajikistan reports a 32 percent rise over the 5.099 billion somoni ($469.6 million) reported for the same period last year.
The bank's liabilities totaled 5.951 billion somoni ($548 million), a 33 percent increase from 4.462 billion somoni ($410 million) on the same date in 2022.
The bank's capital reached 819.3 million somoni ($75 million), a 28 percent rise from the 636.6 million somoni ($58.6 million) recorded on the same date in 2022.
As the country's largest bank, with a quarter of the financial intermediation market, it reported profits of roughly 102 million somoni ($9 million) in 2022. This is a 36 million increase above the profits generated in 2021.
Tajikistan hosted a total of 63 credit and financial institutions, comprising 14 conventional banks, 1 Islamic bank, 1 non-bank credit institution, 19 microcredit deposit organizations, 3 microcredit institutions, and 25 microcredit funds, as of September 30, 2023,
