DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, April 1. The trade turnover between Tajikistan and Georgia totaled $5.070 million from January through February 2024, which is a 21.5 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2023 ($6.460 million), Trend reports.
Data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) reveals that exports from Georgia to Tajikistan amounted to $4.940 million in the first two months of 2024, declining by 23 percent compared to January–February 2023 ($6.460 million).
Specifically, Georgian reexports to Tajikistan amounted to $4.404 million during the reporting months, a decrease of 27 percent compared to January–February 2023 ($6.091 million).
Meanwhile, Georgian imports from Tajikistan amounted to $129,240, while imports were not recorded in January–February 2023.
Trade turnover between Tajikistan and Georgia amounted to $37.281 million in 2023, which marks a 62 percent increase compared to $22.923 million in 2022. Exports to Tajikistan reached $37.012 million, while imports amounted to $268,630.
