French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Turkmenistan can rely on France in the modernization of the country.
"All new projects illustrate Turkmenistan's dynamics, power of its economic growth and legitimate ambition to take its place on the regional and international arena," Mr. Sarkozy's message addressed to Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammadov reads.
"To accompany you in this modernization, Mr. President, you can rely on France and on my desire to deepen our partnership and cooperation in all fields of mutual interest," Sarkozy noted.
Mr.Sarkozy said "twenty years is a small period to build a nation".
"However, what was the path Turkmenistan since 1991, especially in recent years! Turkmenistan moved into the period of unprecedented development under your leadership. Your capital is transformed each day that causes admiration of visitors. New buildings, new factories, hospitals, schools appear in your cities every day," the message reads.
The Turkmen president's official visit to France in February 2010 gave dynamics to the France-Turkmenistan. The French president is planning to visit Ashgabat and the date is beingh defined through diplomatic channels.
