CIS countries will discuss trade cooperation prospects in Ashgabat

The eleventh meeting of the Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce of CIS member states was held in Ashgabat on Tuesday, the CIS Executive Committee said today.

Council members will summarise the main results of their work for 2013.

According to the information, the cooperation prospects of the CIS member states in terms of strengthening the integration processes, the role of Chambers of Commerce in the investment and innovation development of the countries' economies and interaction in the area of migration policy will be discussed.

Moreover, it is planned to consider issues relating to the establishment of information on the exchange of files in the Advisory Committee for Entrepreneurship of the Eurasian Economic Commission with the Chambers of Commerce of the CIS countries, as well as their interaction with the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states.

A list of exhibitions and fairs to be held in 2014 under the auspices of the Council is planned to be approved at the meeting.

Chairman of the Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce of the CIS member states will be elected and the date and venue of the next meeting of the Council will be determined at the meeting, the CIS Executive Committee said.
